The console did not do very well in the market when compared to its predecessor, the Atari 2600. The Atari 5200 or also known as the Atari 5200 SuperSystem is a console developed and introduced to market back in 1982. The console was based on Atari’s already existing 400/800 computer systems with the software being customized for the console.
